6 Anti-Aging Tips to Help You Feel Younger Now


Anti-aging isn’t just about the physical. It’s about how we show up daily in our mindset, our attitudes, who we surround ourselves with, and what we consume media-wise. It’s about whether we’re open to new things, and so much more.

I have some anti-aging tips I live by. I bucket them into three categories: lifestyle, mindset, and physical. Check out my top anti-aging tips and – bonus – find out how to kickstart your journey.

Why Does Anti-Aging Matter? 

Anti-aging isn’t just about staying wrinkle free as long as possible. It’s about staying healthy and making sure you’re thriving for as long as possible.
 
Aging is ROUGH on the body. Yes, it’s inevitable, but we want to take care of our bodies and help ourselves along in the process. If we start practicing good anti-aging habits now, we give ourselves healthy habits in the long run and set ourselves up for success later in life. 
 
Getting Started 
Most of us want to start with the physical part of anti-aging, and that’s awesome. For a lot of us, the physical part feels the easiest and the most important. I mean who wants fine lines and wrinkles? No one. When we notice physical changes, it’s gratifying.

The Best Anti-Aging Tips

Keep in mind that these anti-aging tips work for me, but aren’t necessarily the best hacks for everyone. It’s all about your journey and finding what works best for YOU. 
 
Remember, we’re separating these anti-aging tips into lifestyle, mindset, and physical, in that order.
 
Work Out Every Day
Yes, you read that right. You should get exercise every day. I do a physically demanding workout at least 6 days a week so I can be at my best mentally, physically, and emotionally. 
 
You don’t have to love the gym to get a daily workout. Personally, I prefer my Peloton or hitting a class like pilates, yoga, or F45 (which is a functional fitness studio). There are a lot of ways to work out and you need to find what works for you and your lifestyle.         
 
Intermittent Fasting 
Along with working out, I follow a particular diet lifestyle that works with my unique body makeup: intermittent fasting. Intermittent fasting boosts longevity because it gives the gut time to clean, detox, and rest effectively. 

This practice has also been shown to fight inflammation, improve memory, and balance weight. I follow the 16/8 plan, which is 16 hours of fasting and an 8-hour window to eat. 

Because I have a twisted digestive system, intermittent fasting actually helps give my digestive system a chance to rest, rather than constantly working on digesting. This works great for me because it also keeps at bay the massive stomachaches I had every day of my life growing up.
                    
Follow a Plant-Based Diet
I’ve been vegetarian since I was 12 and I switched to vegan well over a decade ago to address those digestive issues I had my entire life. It helps my physical health and my emotional health – both great for anti-aging. A plant-based lifestyle gives me more energy and I feel good in my heart about minimizing my impact on the planet.
                    
While these are the hacks that work for me, remember that you get to create what YOUR ideal anti-aging lifestyle looks like. Being open to trying new things, listening to your body, and making conscious choices are all a part of an optimal anti-aging lifestyle practice. 

Which essentially comes down to mindset – and hey! That’s our next hack for today.    

Mindset Is Everything
I’ve always believed that mindset is EVERYTHING. Part of my mindset is always believing I’m never “too old” to figure something out. I never want to say I’m too old to wear something, go somewhere, use social media, or listen to whatever music is cool right now.
 
Your mindset will determine your anti-aging journey, and sticking to a mindset that helps you FEEL young and vibrant will help you feel more youthful physically, mentally, and emotionally too. 
    
Self-improvement.                    
I’m a huge believer in self-improvement, whether that’s following an anti-aging regimen, optimizing my biz, or investing in coaching, mentorship, and leadership. 

I find it’s incredibly important to surround yourself with people committed to an “I can” or “how can I?” attitude, rather than an “I can’t” or an “I don’t” perspective. Until you invest in yourself and your own potential, chances are you’ll stay right where you are. There’s no real growth there.

I’ve also found it helpful to practice that “I can” or “how can I?” mindset with daily intentions, whether that’s to be present, practice patience, or be productive AF. It changes daily, weekly, or monthly depending upon the season I’m in or the goals I’m working toward. If you don’t practice this yet, I totally recommend starting each day with a meaningful intention.

I start each day with an intention. Starting the day like this can help you make sure you’re not carrying around extra unhappiness or heaviness. When you’re full of light and joy, you bring light and joy to others – which is the ultimate anti-aging hack.

Skincare Inside and Out
Now, let’s get physical. I’m sure you know that one of the first places you begin to show your age is your skin, especially your face. AND especially if you neglected sunscreen when you were younger. Sun damage is no joke. And it can age you 20+ years if you don’t actively work to reverse the damage at a cellular level.
 
I have an 8-step routine I do each morning and night. It only takes about five minutes, and I’m serious about it. I never miss my skincare routine. 
 
  • I start by washing my face with the cleanser that comes in the doTERRA Essential Skin Care Kit.Then I use a pore-reducing toner, which helps tighten, tone, and smooth the skin.
  • Then I add the anti-aging eye cream – which I swear everyone needs to start using at like 12 or 13 years old these days just with how toxic our environments are now.
I follow that up with the Immortelle anti-aging serum and anti-aging oil blend, which are super potent with high quality, all-natural ingredients that are super hydrating, plump the skin, and smooth fine lines and wrinkles. 
 
And that’s just the basics. I’m also obsessed with using Rose Touch – which balances moisture levels in the skin, reduces the appearance of skin imperfections, and promotes a healthy, even skin tone.
