Hey there!
Here we are, pushing September! Am I the only one who thinks time is slipping through my fingers? I mean sheesh, it seems I close my eyes and when I open them, two weeks have passed.
School is IN. If you follow me on Facebook, you would have seen a pic of my little 7-year-old lined up with her friends waiting to take the bus on the first day. We spent most of the week before last getting ready – and YES, my little Miss Madeline is her mother’s daughter – shopping, haircuts, and more shopping, you know the drill, right?
But can I also say it was bitter-sweet? I’m usually sad when school starts, but this year part of me is looking forward to getting back on schedule. I mean, we had an awesome summer, with vacays to Europe and our beach house near San Diego … and tons of Mommy-and-Me time. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to refocus on my biz.
Are you a momtre-preneur, too? If so, you get what it takes to keep everything in balance. I’m here to tell you it’s doable as long as you take care of yourself. That IS NOT selfish and don’t let anyone tell you it is.
Self-care is actually a super caring thing to do for your fam.
One of the women I coach, Elise, started a biz when her twin boys were 9-years-old. Now, I have girls so I don’t know this from experience, but my guess is between soccer and music lessons; Hunter plays sax, and James plays drums (yikes!), she was super busy.
At first she thought jumping on her dreams would take away from time with her fam. Well, she discovered just the opposite. Elise found a way to balance both her roles.
If you’re thinking of building your dream, as long as you replenish your resources every day, just like Elise, you can manage life as a momtre-preneur. Your life doesn’t own you and you can find a way to have it all.
I’ll be sharing a really fun video on Wednesday.
So the next time you feel that life is sucking you dry, remember, we (you and I) are in charge of our lives. We aren’t victims!
BTW, if you missed my webinar last Thursday, catch it here. I discussed how damaging a victim mentality can be and how to kick it to the curb for good.
Cash in that victim mentality for a dream come true. See ya Wednesday!
XO,
Hayley
