Love Your Body: 5 Tips to Optimize Your Physical Health

When you think about your body, what comes to mind?

Is it something you feel at odds with?

Or do you see your body as the beautiful vehicle that gets you through life?

Something you LOVE – and take care of on the daily?

Speaking of caring for your body, I recently did a blood test with a functional medicine doctor and the results were wild…

He told me that my diagnostic panels are that of an 18-20 year old!

I have many hacks I have to thank for those results - some of which I will share today - but the latest wellness system I’m literally obsessed with is MetaPWR.

It comes from my fav wellness brand – doTERRA – and it’s the complete anti-aging and longevity system.

I actually call it my secret fountain of youth. LOL

Because it’s the ultimate system to fill up the body with natural energy… and restore the damage just literally existing in the world does to it.

It’s been a serious game-changer for me over the past several weeks.

And my diagnostic results are likely to get even better the longer I’m on MetaPWR.

This is your sign from the universe to take action now.

Or, if you follow me on social, just drop me the word REVERSE on any of my posts and I’ll shoot ya the link directly.

The thing is… so many of us have a love/hate relationship with our bodies…

  • How we look.
  • Trying to mold ourselves into a different shape.
  • Or feeling like we wish we had a different body entirely.
While at the same time, feeling gratitude that we wake up daily in our body where our heart is beating.

This is very prevalent among women.

I could spend an entire episode talking about the pressures and mind-effs society has put upon women for literal centuries…

(And believe me, I had my share of it in my 20’s and early 30s).

instead, I thought we could spend our time together today talking about how to reframe how we see our bodies.

Which is what I’ve taught myself to do.

And start loving them the way we love our fave people in this world.

Along with 5 practical steps we can take to give our bodies everything they need to support us… so we can create our OWN ideal bodies.

As someone who’s had her fair share of ups and downs with her body – not to mention body image…

I can tell you that reframing how we see ourselves—and our bodies—is a HUGE mindset shift.

And it can actually be pretty difficult.

After all, there are MANY components that actually influence how our bodies show up physically.

The truth is, getting yourself to a better physical place goes wayyyyy deeper than burning calories or going to your fav pilates class.

It’s about your relationship with your body.

And ensuring you’re doing what your unique body makeup needs.

Not what you see on the latest TikTok trends.

Or blindly following what other people have told you works for them.

If you have an unhealthy relationship with your body, it’s pretty damn impossible for your body itself to be healthy.

I mean, women used to smoke just to stay slim. YIKES.

And this is even after we knew how terrible smoking is for us.

The pressure to look a certain way was so strong that it really didn’t matter.

Taking steps to get YOUR ideal body means:

A) Loving your body – right now, no matter what shape it’s in… and
B) Loving your body enough that you actually take care of it.

Staying on track with a healthy lifestyle is absolutely mandatory in my book.

And that starts with listening to your body. That’s tip #1.

How often do you actually do that?

Like, if you know that eating a big bag of Doritos (or chickpea snacks for that matter) is gonna make you feel sick or weighed down…

Or having that second glass of wine or third cup of coffee (or bottle of Gatorade with all that sugar) is gonna give you a gnarly headache…

Consciously make a different choice.

We get to recognize the signs our bodies give us… and listen to them.

Just like if you know your bestie absolutely hates something – like Bruno Mars… LOL

Even if you love him, you wouldn’t blast his latest album with her in the car, would you?

Ok maybe you would if you’re THAT kind of friend… LOL

But most of us would respect that message and stop doing something that caused harm or discomfort.

Yes, I know it’s a silly example, but the point is… treat your body like you would treat your treasured bestie.

Pay attention to the messages… and respect them.

So my next tip to create the ideal body for YOU is… focus on gut health.

Scientists are now discovering that there’s a second brain inside the gut.

It’s the literal engine of EVERYTHING going on inside our bodies – including mental health.

It’s fascinating.

Funny story.

The other day during an Instagram Live I completely blanked out on a certain word I was looking for…

Does that ever happen to you?

Like, you KNOW you know the word.

But your brain is like: nope. Does not compute.

A quick inquiry to Dr. Google let me know that no… it’s probably not the start of dementia…

I probably just needed to eat something – like healthy fats. AKA a fistful of cashews. PHEW! LOL

‘Cause memory is often impacted by your gut.

I know it’s not the sexiest topic but gut health is actually super important for your whole body.

Not to mention your mind. And your emotions. ‘Cause there’s this thing called the “gut-brain axis”.

You see, your gut’s main job is to separate nutrients from toxins.

Basically stripping out things your body doesn’t need and keeping what it does.

If your gut is healthy, it pushes those toxins and leftover bits out of your system to the right organs that process them.

But if you have a weak gut lining, it can become porous.

And those toxins can leak out of your digestive tract and straight to your brain – as well as the rest of your body.

Did you get a mental picture when I said that? SO GROSS.

But that’s what happens.

It’s kinda crazy how this works, but this phenomenon called “leaky gut/leaky brain” has shown a connection between gut health and things like:

  • Brain fog.
  • Impaired memory and recall.
  • Anxiety and depression.
  • Even serious conditions like dementia and Alzheimers.
Now here’s the good news… this gut-connection means you can literally improve every single system inside your body by improving your gut function.

And there are tons of ways to do this naturally… through lifestyle AND diet.

Which brings me to tip #3, meal prep…

Prepping your meals ahead of time lets you consciously decide what to feed your body.

Instead of grabbing whatever is right in front of you.

Or snacking ‘cause you waited too long to eat and now you just want something fast.

Meal prep will also help you avoid cravings and impulse eating,

Plus, it’s a great strategy to stay on track with any nutrient-related goals you have.

For me, it wasn’t until I realized that for me to not feel like shit every day…

Shifting my approach to food was required.

As in, going plant-based. And doing intermittent fasting.

‘Cause when I don’t do these things… my body actually rebels.

And I’m not suggesting you follow my regimen. I’m just suggesting you follow your intuition. And gut. (Pun intended).

I have a very sensitive digestive system.

‘Cause my internal digestive organs are all twisted up and twerked inside of me – unlike most people.

And if I don’t eat a certain way… or if I eat foods I know don’t resonate with my unique internal chemistry and makeup…

I feel crazy sick.

Like, fetal position, clenching my belly levels of pain and discomfort.

Of course, my story may not be your story.

But if you recognize you’ve got some habits about what kind of fuel you put into your body… and they aren’t optimal…

Meal prepping is a great idea to consider.

Now, I’m not a cooker. (That’s what it’s called, right? LOL)

I don’t enjoy cooking. There are just other ways I’d like to spend my time.

So I started asking around my community for some vegan chefs in the area who could help me with meal prep and delivery for the week.

And honestly, it has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.

It’s not much more expensive than doing the grocery shopping each week… and it’s definitely cheaper than takeout.

Not to mention healthier.

Meal prepping involves consciously choosing and making meals in advance.

Parsing them out into multiple servings. You can even refrigerate or freeze any extras.

Now my next tip is something you’re going to be hearing a lot more of here in the next year or two.

It’s the importance of supplementation.

Some people I know think I’ve gone overboard with my personal routine…

But I swear to you, it’s the secret to my boundless energy.

And what I credit with being able to run multiple businesses, travel as much as I do, AND be present with my family.

I take about 20 supplements a day.

Which doesn’t include things like my monthly IV vitamin therapy which helps me absorb, intravenously, the nutrients I can’t absorb digestively.

Or my workout regimen, etc.

Or other woo woo wellness things my dad makes fun of me about. LOL

And right now, my fav supplementation system is MetaPWR – the one I mentioned at the top of the show

It has ingredients like NAD, NMN, and collagen.

Which is groundbreaking ‘cause up until now, collagen has been incredibly difficult for the body to take in and process when ingested.

But MetaPWR is actually 12 times MORE bioavailable than other collagen powders on the market.

And this combo of NMN, NAD, and collagen has been shown to:

  • Help reverse premature aging – at a cellular level.
  • Eliminate inflammation.
  • Release stubborn weight.
  • Support natural energy production – again, at a cellular level (AKA your mitochondria).
  • PLUS keeps skin naturally elastic, plump, and glowing.
And speaking of stubborn weight…

I wanna tell you a quick story about the connection between your mind, body, and emotions.

So last year, I went though a 4 month, pretty intense  leadership program…

And then a few of my friends went through it once I had graduated.

And when they did, I went back in to support them.

And as they were learning to give and receive feedback, I dove in even deeper with the same exercises.

So one night we were all sitting around sharing things we’d never shared before. Even though we were really good friends.

But this night was different.  We had a new skill so we were like literally getting things off our chests.

This was actually hard for me ‘cause for most of my life, people have told me I can come across as intense. Or unapproachable. Or elitist.

Which isn’t my intention at all, obviously.

So for SOOOOO long… I’ve carried this around.

And actually held myself back from saying what’s on my heart because I didn’t want to be perceived a certain way.

And in that training (and after)… I realized I was literally carrying weight inside my body.

Because I was carrying emotions inside of me.

Long story short… I began sharing. Getting things off my chest. Opening myself up. Being more authentically me.

And stopped dimming my shine to please other people. Or make them more comfortable.

…and 7 pounds slid off my body.

I didn’t even try.

So not only did I feel physically lighter, my soul was lighter.

I share this because if you are carrying around stubborn weight that doesn’t seem to go away, no matter how many calories you cut…

Or how many hours you spend on the treadmill or Peloton or whatever you’re doing…

Look inside.

  • Is there heaviness inside of you?
  • How can you lessen that load?
That’s my final tip for you today.

Say what you need to say. Release the weight inside of you. And the physical changes will follow.

Your ideal body starts from within, as I’ve been sharing all along.

And if you haven’t yet, definitely give your body what it needs at a cellular level.

Like with MetaPWR. The system I’ve been talking about 4ever.

If you, too, are on a journey to discover YOUR ideal body…

I’ve created a special page all about it for you – which is  www.yourwholelifestyle.com/meta.

Or if you don't wanna type all that out yourself, just drop me a comments on any of my social posts with the word REVERSE…

And I’ll send you the link directly.

I’ve been using it daily now for almost two months and I can’t believe how sharp I feel.

And, how much better (as if I needed help) my sleep quality is.  I wear an Oura ring so I’m getting data. Not just making this shiz up.

That’s it for me today, my friends… sending you AND your body lots of love… and I’ll see ya online.
